Coffee supply chains stretching from farmers, processors, traders, exporters, roasters, retailers and ultimately consumers. Most farmers do not know their coffee where to go or sold for how much. And in the opposite direction roasters, consumers – customers who love coffee also does not know the origin, ways of processing as well as quality of the coffee that I enjoy.
CURRENT ISSUE
Coffee is one of the products of tropical agriculture the most valuable, are traded widely and developed rapidly in the past years. Coffee is becoming one of the most popular drinks in the world and 80% of which is produced by 25 million households, with about 125 million people. However, coffee production global vary each year depending on weather conditions, disease and other factors, lead to the coffee market capitalization is not stable and is characterized by price volatility. Fluctuations in the price of this cause significant consequences for those who depend on coffee for a living, make growers difficult to predict their income in the next season, and budgets for production needs and the cost of living of their family
In another aspect, supplies, raw coffee is a chain indispensable in the overall supply chain which coffee roasters need to manage and control, aiming to create the coffee cups has a unique quality, and best customer service beloved. However, this has not been the roasters focus on and invest in the right level, leading to fracture of the supply chain or products made out of quality is not homogeneous due to buy from many sources and supply with different quality.
FUTURE SOLUTION
By linking the farmers follow a rigorous standards and uniform, the mission of the project aims to: improve the lives of farmers and supply of products coffee quality raw material along with environmental protection sustainable through it step by step affirm and enhance the value of coffee beans in Vietnam.
The Coffee Farmer advent to bring roasters the coffee beans high quality raw material is harvested ripe fruit, the application processing methods, modern, recruited directly from the farm.
Cooperation with The Coffee Farmer means that you are, together we built a coalition, the farmers processing of high quality coffee, pattern development, sustainable agriculture and fair trade in Vietnam.
